Our Team
Our team is what makes the work happen. Check Electric runs on 55 licensed electricians, two principals, and three offices spanning the Florida Keys and Southwest Florida. Every project, from a $1,000 residential service call to a $12 million ground-up commercial build, goes through the same crew structure and the same licensing standard.
Leadership
Who Runs the Company
Check Electric is led by Karel Bublak, President, and Mason Haag, Vice President. Together they oversee estimating, project execution, generator operations, and the company's growth across both regions.
The leadership team is hands-on. On the commercial side, that means walking sites at the precon and bid phase, holding direct lines of communication with general contractors and property managers, and staying on projects through execution. On the residential and generator side, it means making sure the same level of attention scales down to single-family service work and Generac installs.
When you call (305) 292-3369 or send a project inquiry to Admin@checkelectricllc.com, the work routes through this team. Bids come back on the agreed timeline. Scope questions get answered by people who know the project.
The Crew
55 Electricians,
One Standard.
The People Behind Every Project We Sign
We employ 55 trained and licensed electricians across the company. Every one of them works under our state certification (License # EC13004515). The crew is organized to handle the full scope range we cover: residential service calls, panel upgrades, ground-up multi-family builds, switchgear and busway installs, fire alarm and BDA systems, generator installs, and ground impedance testing for medical and government facilities.
The same crews work across project sizes. That's deliberate. It means the level of execution on a $1.7M custom home in Old Town Key West and a 250+ unit apartment build like Wreckers Cay comes out of the same operational standard, not two separate teams running by different rules.

Training & Licensing Standard
Trained, Licensed, and NEC-Compliant
Every electrician on staff is trained and licensed. We operate under State of Florida Electrical Contractor License # EC13004515, and all panel and service work meets NEC code on installation.
Our calibrated ground impedance testing is certified for medical and government facility testing needs, which is specialty work most regional crews do not handle. We are also a Generac Authorized Dealer for sales, service, and installation, which means our generator techs work to factory standards on every Generac install we put in the ground.
How the Team Is Organized Across Offices
Three Offices, One Operation
The structure is not regional silos. Crews and equipment move where the project needs them.
Our Key West office runs the Keys crews, covering Key West, the Lower Keys, Middle Keys, and Upper Keys up to Key Largo. Our Naples office runs the Southwest Florida crews, covering Marco Island, Naples, and Fort Myers. Our new Summerland Key headquarters is opening soon at 25000 Overseas Highway, with a two-story fully stocked warehouse that will give the Keys crews faster turnaround on parts and materials across the chain.
Bucket trucks, digger derricks, and specialty equipment are shared across offices.
